Tirus e-Learning
Tirus is a mobile e-learning platform that connects users with courses across creative, technical, and professional fields — from motion design to programming and finance — through a personalized, content-first discovery experience.
Year :
2022
Industry :
EdTech / E-Learning
Client :
Tirus
Project Duration :
4 weeks

Problem :
E-learning apps often present course catalogs as flat, undifferentiated lists, making it hard for users to find relevant content among hundreds of options. Learners needed a faster way to discover courses aligned with their interests, trending skills, and specific categories, without wading through generic search results.

Solution :
I designed a home experience centered on personalized greetings and curated content — featured courses with instructor credibility (ratings, pricing) front and center, alongside a clear category grid (Illustration, Design, 3D & Animation, Programming). A dedicated Explore screen surfaces trending searches (Python, AWS, UI/UX) as tappable tags and organizes categories into a scannable list, letting users move fluidly between broad browsing and targeted search.

Challenge :
The challenge was designing for a dark-themed interface with dense content variety — courses, categories, instructors, prices, ratings — while keeping the visual hierarchy clean enough that no single section competed with another for attention. Balancing vibrant category thumbnails against a dark background without losing contrast or readability required careful color and spacing decisions.
Summary :
Tirus turns course discovery into an engaging, low-friction experience by combining personalization, trending content, and clear categorization. The dark UI gives the app a modern, premium feel while still prioritizing usability across a wide range of learning topics.
